A capitalist and a socialist were arguing about the relative merits of their positions when a third person stepped forward and interrupted them and said, “I am a theist.” They immediately ridiculed him and asked, “What do you mean?” He replied, “A capitalist believes that individuals own and should own the wealth of the world. A socialist believes that all the people should own the wealth of the world and create a great commonwealth. A theist believes that God owns the world and that man is merely the custodian, the steward of its wealth. A theist believes that everything begins with God and everything belongs to God. ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof.’ I am a
Theist.”
Remember, “Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy” (1 Cor. 4:2).
