DANGEROUS INTERSECTIONS

Several years ago State Farm Insurance rated the most dangerous intersections in the United States. The winner (or, perhaps the loser) was the corner of Belt Line Road and Midway Road in Addison, Texas, an affluent Dallas suburb.  There were 263 reported crashes at this intersection. This averages out to five wrecks a week and does not include the numerous unreported fender benders.

What dangerous intersections have you encountered lately?  Life is crammed with potentially complicated intersections for life to negotiate. There are unpredictable moments when one small movement this way or that way can send us crashing out of control.

That is why it is so important for us to be well aquatinted with the Lord’s “road map”and His “warning signals,”that is, the word of God – the Bible. The Psalmist declared, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path” (Psa. 119:105). Solomon said, “For the commandment is a lamp; And the law is light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life”(Pro. 6:23). God’s word is filled with instruction and warning.

What intersections are you crossing?  And will you make it safely or crash headlong into some crippling obstacle? It will depend on your use of God’s word.

Think About It.

Have a Great Day!
