THE YOUNG SCULPTOR

Legend has it that a young sculptor, the son of a sculptor, worked earnestly on a statue but couldn’t seem to make it right; as he left it every night, he found that it was marred, here and there, with rough spots, ugly lines, little defects that he couldn’t seem to correct. During the night the father, a master of art, would go softly into the studio and correct it all in the space of a few hours. One morning the truth dawned on the young man, and he cried, “The Master has touched this!” He realized his father was the one making the corrections.

The same is true with us. We are rough, crude, and ugly in life – and we cannot seem to get it right. That is why we need the help of God, and that is why Paul said, “I can do all things in Christ that strengtheneth me” (Phil. 4:13). This is why we must rely on the word of God that is able to build us up and give us the inheritance (Acts 20:32).

Think About It!

Have A Great Day!
