Now a word from the director of the FBI: “Movies are doing more to advance crime and juvenile delinquency than any other factor today.”
The writer who quoted the FBI head went on to say, “This is, of course, because of the steady stream of dirty sex, brutality, and violence. Millions of our young generation learns evil thoughts, evil acts, law-breaking ways, perverted sex, murder, and divorce from the films they see. The movie theater has become America’s college for an education in filth and crime.” These words of warning sound contemporary, but they aren’t. They were written in 1962 – things have only gotten worse.
The inspired words of Paul rings forth a warning, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” We as parents and grandparents need to be very concerned with what we and our children are watching. “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Pro. 23:7). We need to make a covenant with our eyes (Job 31:1) not to look on that which is evil and immoral.
Think About It!
Have A Great Day!
