“What can I do for the church?” exclaimed a young man to the local minister of the church.
In response, the minister says, “Well, you can manage to mention the church in your conversations each day, and in your silent prayers at night. You can attend its services, loyally support its efforts, and give liberally each Sunday. You can be loyal to the church, invite the lost to services, exhibit a hearty cordiality at its services, and read your Bible each day.”
The minister continues, “The busiest Christian in the world can easily find time to do these things. Our efforts on this earth will be much happier, wiser and more satisfying as we do these things for the Lord.”
“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time” (Col. 4:5).
